  • 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, mix oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  • Stir in melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until crumbly.

  • Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.

  • Spread diced apples evenly over the crust, then drizzle with caramel sauce.

  • Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture on top and gently press down.

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown.

 

  • Cool completely before cutting into squares.
