1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)

1 onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

4 cups beef broth

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.

Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles.

Stir in tomato paste, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes.

Add crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
