Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 cups green candy melts (or white chocolate + green food coloring)

  • 2 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)

  • Red heart sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  • Crush Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs form.

  • Add softened cream cheese and mix until a dough-like consistency forms.

  • Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined tray.

  • Freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.

  • Melt green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  • Dip each truffle into melted coating using a fork; tap off excess.

  • Place on parchment paper and immediately top with a red heart sprinkle.

  • Let set completely before serving or storing.

Notes

For extra flavor, try mint Oreos or add ½ tsp peppermint extract.

Store truffles in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months.

Top 3 FAQs

1. Can I use any type of Oreos for this recipe?
Yes! Classic Oreos work best, but you can also use mint, red velvet, or golden Oreos for fun flavor twists.

2. Why is my candy coating too thick?
If your melted candy is clumpy, stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening to thin it out for a smooth, glossy finish.

3. How far ahead can I make Oreo truffles?
You can make them up to a week in advance if refrigerated. For longer storage, freeze and thaw in the fridge overnight before serving—they’ll still taste freshly made!
